Founder Richard Buchanan was most recently Global Principal, Media and Entertainment for Verizon. In this position Richard was responsible for business development with studio and network partners. Prior to that he was Vice President, Strategic Development for Comcast Technology Solutions, a division of Comcast Cable offering third-party businesses access to services and technologies. During his time at Comcast Richard also served as VP of Operations and Engineering and General Manager of the Comcast Media Center. Richard is a well-known industry leader and contributes to the continual advancement of the media and entertainment  industry. He has more than 40 years of operations and engineering management experience in video production, post production, channel origination and content delivery solutions for the entertainment and enterprise markets. Prior to joining Comcast in 2007, he served as Chief Operating Officer for Ascent Media Management Services (AMMS). Before joining AMMS in 2005, he spent nine years as Senior Vice President of Operations and Business Development for Crown Media International, which owned and operated the Hallmark Channel worldwide in 27 languages and 127 countries. Richard also served as Vice President of Production and Creative Services at Encore Media, where he helped to launch Starz! and seven thematic multiplex channels. Over the last 25 years, he has launched a total of 75 channels worldwide and built five major technical facilities. Richard  attended Virginia Commonwealth University, where he studied mass communication with a specialization in broadcasting, and Colorado State University’s process management program.
